It's great! Yes, I know vodka is supposed to be clear and tasteless, but it still has a slight taste. And I confess to liking candy flavors...like chocolate macadamia coconut flavored coffee.

How is that flavored vodka? I always thought the point of vodka was that it had no taste and so was a good mixer.

I was never impressed with whiskey. My drink of choice has become raspberry vodka in Sprite. I used to have it in Dr. Pepper, but I can't have caffeine any more.

OK, that makes sense.

But back to the whiskey. You know I've never tried whiskey? I'm a little afraid to.

Well we have to start measuring from somewhere, and this is it. That guy looked out his study door and there was a boulder due south. That became the prime meridian. GMT = Greenwich Mean Time. Sometimes called Zulu time, but I don't know why.
From this starting point, we can measure out 15 degrees for every time zone on our planet.
When accompanied with latitude we can find any place on our google earth.

Hope you took notes. There may be a test!

I remember all the fuss the family made when we saw this invisible line, and I have to confess, I didn't understand it when I was six (though I knew it was of great importance to adults) and I still don't understand it now! Something to do with east and west hemispheres I think.

I think on the same excursion we saw the Cutty Sark, and I was more impressed with that. There's a photo around of everyone standing together looking over the side. It is still the name of a brand of whiskey (also of great importance to adults), no?
