German Ghost Ride
This was taken at Oktoberfest in Munich, 1971. Geisterfahrt is German for Ghost Ride, and the facade is most scary and impressive.

Bo Peep and a Knight
Janine and Kurt Warner show off their Halloween costumes, 1957 or 1958. Janine has her hair in sausage curls and her costume looks too nice to have come from a store. Kurt’s is obviously store-bought, but his shield and longsword look homemade. It’s interesting that Little Bo Peep wears a mask. Maybe to hide from [...]

Barbie’s 1st Halloween Costume
It must have been 1953, and I would have been almost 3. I was a clown, and there was a Halloween parade around the block.

Joan Henge

Puu Ualakaa State Park
Arlene and me at the lookout. What a view of Honolulu! And the drive up was quite a challenge…
I kept trying to shift into 3rd gear, but it was just a tease. We drove miles and miles and miles in 2nd gear. Once we just stopped and Arlene reached out the window and picked some [...]

Kitchen Fun
Here’s another pic way back when of the Warner kitchen. Joan is playing with a toy stove that was mine or Jeanne’s and I am sticking something in my mouth. The maps on the wall show a trip to Europe was being planned, and the Easter basket that it was Spring. Jeanne looks like she [...]

And the Beat Goes On
And then there was Gary Lewis and the Playboys. Gary was the son of Jerry Lewis. The only song I can think of that they did is “Who Wants to Buy this Diamond Ring?”
